Animation Voice Over

Animation takes many forms and over the years has changed dramatically in it’s audience and intent. From children’s television cartoons, through modern adult animated comeduies such as American Dad and Rick & Morty, extending into Japanese anime, which has found a resurgence in more and more VOD shows.

Each format of animation requires a different skill set to fit with the genre, understanding this and having the technique and flexibility to be able to deliver the different levels of intensity and/or realism is key as a voice actor for animated films and tv shows.

Much like video games, the genre can also be quite taxing on the voice, requiring long recording sessions and sometimes many efforts and screams of NSV (non-scripted vocals). Having trained for many years in the theatre and in musicals I have developed rock solid stamina and technique to consistently produce world class performances.
